Course description

Starting from Hurstbridge train station, we'll take some nice back roads to warm up the legs before hitting the major climb for the day, Mt Everard Track. This is a fire road that will take us up to Kinglake for the first checkpoint of the day.

From Kinglake it's downhill, then a little bit bushy, then a very slight uphill then a loooong, fast, scenic dirt road descent down to Steels Creek Road that will have you hooting to the hills. A scenic paved road section will then take us to checkpoint two at Yarra Glen.

The climb back up out of Yarra Glen will be steep but short and then it's Buttermans Track etc. all the way back to Hurstbridge.

This ride hangs together really well. It has a great mix of the challenging, the sublime and the ridiculous.
